China recently staged the first-known flight of its stealth fighter prototype. Some people think they got the technology to build the stealth fighter from a U.S. stealth fighter that was shot down in Serbia back in 1999. China claims it would only use the stealth fighter for defensive reasons. I think it's hard to know for sure what China might use a stealth fighter for. Because China is also developing an anti-ship ballistic missile, it's hard for me to believe they are only building a stealth fighter for defensive reasons - no matter where they got the plans from to build the stealth fighter.

China recently had the first flight of it's J-20 stealth fighter. The test flight was performed when the US Defense Secretary Robert Gates was in Beijing meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao. Many people believe that this J-20 stealth fighter uses stolen technology from the American F-22. I think that they chose to steal technology and have the jet's first maiden flight on this day to show the US that they can compete with their fifth-generation F-22s.

Because of this incident, I think that China will sell their J-20 to other countries, unlike the American F-22, which has a ban on exports, but the F-35 that is currently being developed using technology fron the F-22 will be exported. If China does sell their J-20 to other countries, the US will not always win wars with their stealth F-22 anymore. China's relations with the US are not very good, and this might make them even worse.

On the subject of China stealing United States technology, I think that it is an overreaction to say that China "stole" our technology. There HAVE been other stealth fighter jets, so China could have gotten the technology (legally, or illegally,) from anywhere. It is certainly possible that they stole our technology, but I don't think they did because our shot down jet was only one of the many sources they could have gotten the technology from.

I think that the events that are happening in Egypt are becoming scarier, because after the Egyptians saw that Tunisia succeeded in throwing their government, they wanted to throw out their government, but because of this many fights are going out on normal streets and many protesters are getting killed.

I think poor health in the US is a big problem because not only can it be causing death, but I think it can also affect others such as family members. Smoking and cancer is definitely a problem. My dad smokes and my mom just found out she has skin cancer in her nose. I think health problems like that can affect others because for me, sometimes it's hard to live with and think about everyday, but I know things will get better. But, I know that exercise and eating healthy is very important and can help a lot. My dad goes to the gym and rides his bike almost everyday and my mom does yoga. I'm just always there to support them.

I think that the low health rate in the US is just a natural occurrence in the US. It would be normal for the decline of health to occur once the rule of the government is at it's low because there would be not enough funding AND resources to create a health plan that the country could use when it is extremely in debt. The rule of other countries had either lived or declined when it was at its limit. This could be an outcome for the US because it has happened to other empires in the past. Maybe the US will be conquered by China when it is at its downfall. Overall, the cause of the lack of health would be a common thing to happen when there is no way to help it. The lack of health care should be fixed as soon as possible if the country is to prosper.

I think that health is a serious issue in our american society. Japan has the highest life expectancy which is: 79 years for the average man and 86 for the average woman. In america, the average life expectancy for a man is 75.6 years and 81 years for a woman. America's life expectancies are lower because we have more people with obesity and more people that smoke. It is truly sad. Smoking can lead to lung cancers and diseases. While obesity can lead to heart attcack and just a shorter life in general. I hope that america's life expectancy will get better.

I think that the revolution happening in Egypt is very important for the people of Egypt and many other people around the world for several reasons. First of all, Mubarak has been ruling in Egypt for too long now, and he has not been helpful in expanding Egypt's economy or culture. The people want a democracy, and they have proved their perseverance for the cause through peaceful protest. I definitely think that Mubarak should step down from ruling Egypt immediately and let the people decide what kind of government they want. For him, attempting to continue ruling Egypt is not a great idea either, since there is a chance that he will be assassinated. Another reason why the protests for new government in Egypt are good is because the Egyptian peoples' perseverance may motivate other countries held back by a bad ruler or government to revolutionize themselves. An additional point I would like to stress is that our government, especially Obama, need to stay out of the revolution in Egypt as much as possible. Obama has spoken to Mubarak and warned him to step down immediately, and he has told the press that he will do everything he can to help overthrow Egypt's government. This is one of the unfortunate things that the US is known for that can cost us our allies--meddling in other countries' business. We have caused even more problems before. Just think all of the wars we are in now or have been in in the past. Many of them had little to do with us, and now we are sending out thousands of our own soldiers to fight others' battles for them. And with our current state of economy and government, we don't have anything to spare: be it money, fighting force, technology, or advice.

I think the people in Egypt have the right to protest against Mubarak because he didn't do what he promised. On the other hand, I think they should have a more peaceful protest because shouting, screaming, and fighting are not the way to go. I think that America's death rate now a days is terrible. People are dying when they don't need to be. The two main causes: smoking and obesity. For starters smoking is a bad habit to have. In my opinion I consider it a drug because people can get addicted. With smoking comes lung cancer. Statistics show that over 400,000 people die from smoking alone. But why do they sell cigarettes if they are such a danger to one's life? Well that's easy to answer. Because they make someone money. So when people buy a pack of cigarettes it provokes the maker to manufacture more. Obesity is another problem that America is facing right now. About half of the U.S. is obese or over weight. There are many causes for this not keeping in shape, sugar, grease, and fat. So many food restaurants are selling and promoting high fat, calorie, and sugar induced food. Not to mention the portion size isn't the most healthy thing. It's like someone walking into a McDonalds and getting a 'super sized' meal. Yeah....not the best choice in the world. But if America as a nation wants to improve it's health it needs to quit the bad habits. Smoking isn't the best thing for your lungs and McDonalds isn't the best thing for your heart.

I think that choosing the movie, "The King's Speech" for many Oscar awards is a good thing because my grandparents watched it and said the movie is really good. They think it's better than "Black Swan". I think that America has fallen into a treacherous pit of bad health. Smoking is an extremely bad habit and can cause lung cancer, but the best way to quit is to never start it in the first place. Obesity is a problem too. Americans are used to a luxurious diet with lots of fat and carbs. People also don't exercise enough, which greatly contributes to America's growing problem of obesity. i think that china does not pose a serious threat because we have friendly relationships with them. America has one of the strongest millitary forces in the world. ReplyDeleteI think that Egypt's people got itself into trouble because of all their out breaks. Their leader is actually the good guy, not the bad like everyone thinks. He is the one that actually keeps order to the society of Egypt. He keeps connections with the U.S, he keeps the extremists under control until the out breaks. These extremists actually started the revolts promising false stuff like many rulers. They promise order to society, food prices go down, let people get a say in elections. But those are probaly all lies, but people are in such a bad state so many people have to listen. Most of these extremists are power hunger rulers swooping in when there is a hole in the "government". Unfortunately everyone believes them so they get there way.
I wish the best for Egypt, but hopefully someone good fills in the role of ruler.

I think that the stealth fighter prototype in China is definitely U.S. technology. However, I don't believe that China would be building forces against the U.S.and try to do anything like that especially when it's the same jet. I think that its bad that china stole the technology from us because now they can use our own weapon against us. I hope that something happens where they cant use that against us
